Natasha Riveron serves as the Healthy Parks and Places Manger for the Safe Routes to Parks Activating Communities program. In this role, she provides technical assistance, develops resources, and builds relationships to support communities working to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility of parks and open space. She is passionate about activating places (whether that’s the local park or neighborhood sidewalk) to strengthen community.

Prior to joining the Safe Routes Partnership, Natasha worked at Smart Growth America on the National Complete Streets Coalition. She worked with communities across the country to write strong Complete Streets policies with a focus on equity and implementation. Prior to SGA, Natasha served as the Community Outreach Coordinator at Innovations in Aging Collaborative in Colorado Springs, CO, where she worked on the city’s Age Friendly initiative through AARP.

Natasha graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts in History and completed a year-long Public Interest Fellowship in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Now, she lives in Washington, D.C. where she enjoys volunteering in her community garden, trying new recipes, and taking full advantage of her library card.
