It identifies opportunities for various agencies to collaborate and combine their respective approaches and funding for a more comprehensive program. It also offers real-world examples of what States and local jurisdictions are doing to address pedestrian and bicycle issues in a comprehensive manner. Finally, the Primer includes descriptions of key concepts, and definitions of common terms and acronyms and real world examples to help readers understand the essentials of pedestrian and bicycle safety issues when discussing and collaborating with diverse partners to develop comprehensive programs.
