Measure A Draft Grant Guidelines: Read Our Comment Letter and Get Involved

The Safe Routes Partnership submitted a comment letter to the Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District (RPOSD) regarding the Measure A Draft Grant Guidelines. Our recommendations focus on improving equity considerations, community engagement, project evaluation criteria, and discussion around concurrent funding measures in the LA County. We also encourage the inclusion of strategies that place high value on the importance of accessibility, such as, the Safe Routes to Parks Action Framework. You can read our full letter here.

We appreciate all of the hard work led by the Measure A Implementation – Steering Committee and RPOSD leading up to now. There still remains a lot of work to be done on finalizing the Grant Guidelines and Policy, so we encourage all interested stakeholders to get involved in 2018. The Steering Committee will next meet on January 11, 2018. Find more information on RPOSD and Steering Committee updates here.
