What is it?
The Safe Routes to School Action Network is comprised of parents, city officials, school district administrators, city planners and engineers, and representatives from county, regional planning, and state agencies. The network is committed to helping more children safely walk and bike to and from school, to improve the health and well-being of students, and to create more livable and sustainable communities in Washington.

Who’s involved?
The Safe Routes to School Advisory Committee consists of partners from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, Washington State Department of Transportation, Safe Routes Partnership, Washington State Department of Health, Cascade Bicycle Club, Washington Bikes, Feet First, Transportation Choices Coalition, and the Childhood Obesity Prevention Coalition.

How do I sign up?
Anyone interested in learning more about Safe Routes to School or getting support for your program should be on this list. Receive informative emails about twice a month, find out about trainings and webinars, and learn from your peers around the state. The Safe Routes to School Action Network plays an important role in sharing successful programs, new research, and best practices to help advance systems change for Safe Routes to School programs across the state.
