Recapping Progress in Orange County

As 2017 comes to a close, we would like thank our many partners across Orange County in helping us to achieve advancements in active transportation. The Orange County Active Transportation Network was formed in early 2017, and through partner input we drafted the Active Transportation Vision document as an advocacy tool. Our partners at the Alliance for a Healthy Orange County organized a thought-provoking Active Transportation Forum to examine how multimodal transportation is an integral component of safe, healthy, and sustainable community planning. Leading into to the new year, OCTA and a diverse group of stakeholders are hard at work on OC Active—a bike and pedestrian plan that aims to recognize the areas and opportunities of improvement for active transportation countywide. We look forward to working alongside our partners to go even further in 2018!
