The Safe Routes to School National Partnership is a network of more than 350 nonprofit organizations, government agencies, schools, and professionals working together to advance the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) movement in the United States. SRTS can provide a variety of important benefits to children and their communities, including increasing physical activity, reducing traffic congestion, improving air quality, and enhancing neighborhood safety.
Ask Congress to Recognize the Impact that Our Transportation System Has on the Health of Americans The Partnership is circulating a letter for signature that asks Congress to ensure that the next transportation bill will address the current negative impacts of our transportation system and build in performance-based outcomes on key health impacts. Any national, state or local organization that cares about the health care of Americans is encouraged to sign on to this letter.
