With the warmer weather, more and more cyclists will be riding in our communities – it’s a great thing that May is National Bike Month! Ohio schools, communities and organizations are offering a wealth of cycling safety training, education and events to help us cycle safely this summer!

International Walk to School Day was celebrated on October 3, and all of October is designated as Walk to School Month. Nationally, more than 4,200 schools have registered events on the International Walk and Bike to School (IWALK) website, a 10 percent increase over last year! In the US, men's cycling trips surpass women's by at least 2:1. So how do we change that? We start by simply inviting women to participate. On May 13, there were 163 women-focused rides in 14 countries, including the US.
