Demi Espinoza serves as the Southern California Senior policy manager for the National Partnership, where she works to enhance and improve regional transportation policies through programming and technical assistance, supporting transportation equity, data collection, and training opportunities for transportation officials. She monitors transportation policy trends and grant opportunities for the Inland Empire—Riverside and San Bernardino Counties—and strategically engages with community partners for policy opportunities. She is also responsible for developing regional communications and resources related to Safe Routes to School and active transportation.

In her current role, Demi acts as co-chair of the San Bernardino County Active Transportation Network and co-chair of the Riverside County Active Transportation Network. The networks are critical veins for disseminating information and providing local technical assistance. She is also a member of the Los Angeles Vision Zero Alliance to support the implementation of the LA Vision Zero Action Plan.

Demi is originally from Riverside, California and earned her B.A. in Sociology at Cal State San Bernardino. Prior to joining the National Partnership, Demi worked on policy advocacy, working with a coalition of 20 community-based organizations of color elevating racial equity and environmental justice with the Coalition of Communities of Color. She has worked as a Regional Field Manager with Equality California in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties on LGBT equality issues. Demi’s current civic involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice, as well as a Community Advisory Board member for Kaiser Permanente’s Research Bank. Demi is fluent in Spanish.
