Wyoming SRTS Program Managed by the Wyoming Department of Transportation (DOT), Wyoming’s federally funded Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program is the source for state coordinator contact details, federal SRTS funding amounts, SRTS applications and guidelines, and state SRTS program information.

Application Guidelines The next call for applications was in September 2008 with a closing of December 31, 2008. Infrastructure awards will be announced by March 15, 2009, and non-infrastructure projects will be selected year round.
WYDOT is currently re-configuring the application process so that there will be separate applications for infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
State Advisory Committee The committee has seven members with one representative from each of the following: SRTS Coordinator, WYDOT, Wyoming Association of Municipalities, Wyoming County Commissioners Association, FHWA, WY Department of Education and Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police.
State Outreach Programs WYDOT currently offers the SRTS National Course, which is provided through the National Center for Safe Routes to School.
Evaluation Methods WYDOT currently requires grantees to submit evaluations semi-annually. The WYDOT is requiring that the data is gathered using the National Center for Safe Routes to School Student Arrival and Departure Talley Sheet and Parent Survey.
