Pennsylvania SRTS Program
Managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Pennsylvania’s federally funded Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program is the source for state coordinator contact details, federal SRTS funding amounts, SRTS applications and guidelines, and state SRTS program information.

Pennsylvania’s SRTS funding totals $21,011,088 and includes the following annual apportionments:

Application Guidelines
Pennsylvania has released the non-infrastructure application for planning purposes through the SRTS Academy that was contracted to coordinate the non-infrastructure grant process statewide. The information is online at http://www.srtsacademy.org/. To view the non-infrastructure application time frame and award levels, click here.

Pennsylvania's infrastructure application guidelines are in development and are likely to be released in March or April 2008.  Five projects from Pennsylvania's 2005-2006 Transportation Enhancements funding round were selected to receive federal SRTS funding, since they meet the federal requirements. The total cost of the projects is $1,424,515.
