North Dakota completed the first round of applications with awards announced in July 2007. Construction on this first round of projects will begin in 2008. The next call for applications is scheduled for late 2007 or early 2008.

North Dakota does not have separate applications for infrastructure and non-infrastructure grants.

State Advisory Committee
North Dakota’s SRTS Advisory Committee was established in 2007 and had its first meeting on June 6. The purpose of the committee is to review project applications and recommend projects to the NDDOT director for his approval. It is a seven-member group consisting of three state agencies (ND Departments of Health, Public Instruction, and Transportation), two non-state government members (Cities over 5,000, Cities under 5,000), one member from the ND Association of School Administers, and one member from the ND Association of Secondary School Principles.

There will be defined terms of service for the city and school members. We will meet once a year to review project applications. A charter will be developed to define the committee and explain new member responsibilities.
