May is National Bike Month...
…and it's also a great month to get out there bicycling and walking with Safe Routes to School!
Whether you are riding with your family on the weekend or leading a bike train on National Bike to School Day May 8, we have lots of tips to help you become a bicycling champion!
- Fabulous Family Activity! Riding around the community as a family gives kids confidence and teaches healthy habits. Read National Partnership Director Deb Hubsmith's story of how she got started riding a bicycle around New York City.
- Creating Healthier Habits: Walking and bicycling to school helps kids and adults get daily physical activity that improves heath. Find tips on creating a bicycle and pedestrian safety curriculum at your school.
- It’s Fun! Walking school buses and bike trains are fun ways to interact with other families and strengthen community connections. Organize or join a bike train for kids and families at your school.
