Funding
The Safe Routes to School National Partnership is hosted by the Bikes Belong Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations to the SRTS National Partnership are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

We receive funding for our work from a variety of diverse sources.
Bikes Belong Coalition Since our inception in 2005, Bikes Belong Coalition has provided generous grants for general operating support of the Safe Routes to School National Partnership.
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is the primary funder for our Safe Routes to School State Network Project.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has provided matching funds for 2008 and 2009 for our Safe Routes to School State Network Project.
Kaiser Permanente Kaiser Permanente has provided matching funds for 2008 and 2009 for our Safe Routes to School State Network Project, and for expanded work on local community SRTS projects in California, the District of Columbia, Virginia and Georgia.
The Harvest Foundation The Harvest Foundation has provided funding for a pilot SRTS program in Martinsville/Henry County, Virginia to explore issues common to low-income and rural communities.
Grants and Contracts The Safe Routes to School National Partnership is pursuing additional foundation grants and government contracts to advance our mission and our programs.
Continued funding for the SRTS State Network Project is still needed for 2009. The Partnership is currently looking for funders.
Sponsorships Corporations are invited to approach us about the possibility of sponsoring the Safe Routes to School National Partnership and any of our specific programs.
Partner Affiliates Our partner affiliates are encouraged to donate on an annual basis to help support our work of advancing the SRTS national movement.
Individual Donations Individual donations to the SRTS National Partnership are welcomed and are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
